About Us

Originally a steel fabrication shop called Capital Machine Works (1940–2016), Central Machine Works Brewery opened in 2019 on Austin’s East Side.

Blending industrial roots with modern charm, CMW not only brews award-winning beer but also features a full-service bar, food menu, versatile beer hall, and expansive beer garden.

We’re family and pet-friendly. Walk-in guests are welcome without a reservation, and we offer on-site parking (on E. 5th St.) for your convenience.
