Billy Boswell + Chemradery

  • CMW BREWERY 4824 East Cesar Chavez Street Austin, TX, 78702 United States (map)

Even though Billy is a Kansas native, he has been inspired by the music coming out of Texas long before he finally arrived. He has been an active member in Austin’s music scene for the last decade from leading to supporting multiple bands from various genres. Blended in from experiences throughout his career, his main passion is songwriting. Although like most, he tries to listen to a wide variety of music but you’ll find names like Todd Snider, John Prine, and Leonard Cohen that remain on the weekly playlists. Listening to these singer songwriter idols, has allowed him to channel an internal perspective that seems to relate with the audience in an intimate way. It is through the vulnerable connection with the listener that brings the most joy and keeps him sharing.

Chemradery. It’s not a word in the English dictionary, but it might very well make it there if this band has anything to say about it. Led by singer Gray Scot, Chemradery came about when innovative minds merged their passion for music together, to create a sound that would not only inspire but leave a lasting impression; on themselves and the listener.

Austin, Texas-based Chemradery has opened the Special Olympics (15′) ‘Relay Across America’ Torch Ceremony, headlined the 4th On Flagler Independence Day Festival; sharing the stage with The Voice’s Jacquie Lee, were the featured entertainment at the Honda Classic Awards Ceremony with world-renown saxophonist, Kenny G., been the supporting act for Fuel at The Culture Room, billed for Vanilla Ice’s Annual Block Party, played 97.9 WRMF’s No Snowball Concert with Adam Lambert and Third Eye Blind, opened for legendary R&B singer, Brian McKnight, and performed on the main stage at Sunfest 2017, with artists including Blink 182, Weezer, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Snoop Dogg, Flo Rida, 3 Doors Down, Tori Kelly and more.
