Mark Weber’s love and admiration for conjunto music started in the early 90s. Weber began listening to conjunto while stationed at Fort Sam Houston military base in San Antonio, Texas. Intrigued by the accordion, Mark began taking lessons from the legendary Valerio Longoria* in 1996. Both eventually became close friends.
Tejano-Conjunto audiences in San Antonio and surrounding areas have likely heard Mark’s voice over the airwaves of KEDA, where he DJ’d from 2004 to 2014 and picked back up in late 2018 with his own show on Monday evenings. Mark has also been the accordionist for San Martín de Porres Church (San Antonio, Texas) since 2004.
Weber founded Mark Weber y Los Cuernos in 2010 and the group specializes in Conjunto, Tex-Mex, Country and Cajun/Zydeco. Not only does Mark enjoy performing the classics, he also writes his own original material. Mark Weber y Los Cuernos have three albums: Mexican-American Gothic, Moonshine & Mexicans and ¡El Idea Man Strikes Again!
