The Magnolia Kids are four musicians based in Austin, Texas inspired to blend their roots in classical, jazz, soul, and folk music to push the limits of genre and style. Their music captures the playfulness of creating music with one another, presenting their project as a funky, fresh, and spacey experience, yet never straying too far from something beautiful.

What began as a side project transformed into a search for a smooth and unique sound that floats the space between bedroom pop, jazz, and R&B. Based in Austin, Texas, The Magnolia Kids are four musicians inspired to push the limits of style by blending their roots in classical, jazz, soul, and folk music. 

The band features the stylings of Camille Schiess (violin), Dana Marie (bass), Micah Motenko (keyboards), and Tony Mariano (guitar), each contributing an extensive background performing with various groups in Austin. Together, they arrange sonic vignettes that showcase each musician under a blanket of seductively textured harmony and groove.
