Tameca Jones, The Empress of Austin Soul, burst onto the Austin music scene in 2005. In her 20 year career in the industry, she has played Austin City Limits Festival, SXSW, Paramount Theater, Moody Theater, Antones, and many other prestigious venues in Austin. Even though she only had one single in her discography, her strong presence in the Austin scene netted her a coveted spot performing at Austin City Limits Festival.
Tameca took her first steps out of Austin on her first tour with multiple Grammy Award winner Gary Clark Jr. She shared stages with Leon Bridges, St Paul and the Broken Bones, Willie and Lukas Nelson, Shakey Graves, and many other prominent artists. The Apollo Theater, Soho House, and the Beacon Theater are just a few of the venues she has played across the nation.
Her music is played all over the world and in television shows and movies. Her song “Sandman” is featured in the hit Hulu show “Black Cake.” Her song “Good Boy” is featured in movies and television shows like “Walker Texas Ranger.”
In 2024, Taméca released her debut album,” Plants and Pills.” The album was produced and written by her and longtime collaborator Grammy Award winner Jonathan Deas. It was well received by both critics and fans. She recently signed a distribution deal with Greater Distribution that will amplify the reach of her audience and music and take her career to even greater levels of success.
