Jackie Venson is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter known far and wide for her complexly beautiful music and blazing guitar skills. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Jackie has traveled the world playing to massive crowds both as a headliner and as support for major acts such as Gary Clark Jr, Melissa Etheridge, Aloe Blacc, Citizen Cope to name a few. With the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic, the cancellation of her entire tour schedule and the wave of social change sweeping across the country in 2020, Jackie committed herself to releasing more music than ever before, connecting with her fans directly and speaking up about the change she wanted to see in her city and country. Since then, Jackie has released 2 studio albums and 2 live albums. During the pandemic, Jackie Venson also made her National TV Performance Debut on Austin City Limit’s 46th season, a huge honor for the native Austinite. Venson’s most recent release, “Love Transcends”, Venson firmly established herself as a sonic force to be reckoned with out of Austin, Texas.

ANGEL WHITE

5PM

Angel White is a singer/songwriter from Dallas, Texas whose music blends R&B, Pop, and Western influences in a new and unprecedented way. Angel spent his formative years busking on the streets of Deep Ellum, learning the power of his voice and how it could touch the people around him.

It was this approach to songwriting that spawned Angel’s new solo identity and thus his forthcoming album, GHOST OF THE WEST.

Unlike most contemporary music, Angel’s music is not “wallpaper” or transparent: instead, his songs will take listeners to a specific place. For Angel; a western landscape is equally beautiful and dark in its vastness.

Retro Cowgirl

4pm

Retro Cowgirl is an alternative rock band inspired by the blues from San Antonio, Texas. The band is comprised of lead singer Lucky Steele, lead guitarist Luis Fiallos, rhythm guitarist Luis Garcia, drummer Jonluca Biagini, and bassist Sophie Connally. Fiallos and Steele met in 2016 at a small-town record store in northern California and began writing music together shortly after combining blues, latin rock, and indie rock influences. Fiallos eventually moved to San Antonio, Texas in late 2020; with Steele following shortly after. The pair met Biagini, Garcia, and Connally while searching for some of the best musicians in the area. The band takes influences from The Strokes, Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, and also vocal influences from Gwen Stefani, Heart, and Led Zeppelin. The band has released three singles so far: Dance, Stronger and Honey; with plans to release one approximately every six weeks in 2022.

GOONS

3PM

Producer Timothy Cole Burris grew up listening to bands like The Cars, ACDC, Journey, and Duran Duran, which has given him a unique, retro sounding production style. Linn Drums, screaming electric guitar solos, and hooky synth lines drive a lot of the Goons sound.

Sydney Burris grew up singing and acting in musical theatre and focuses heavily on lyrics and chord progressions when writing music. The pair of them together create a very unique, interesting, fun style of music that you really have to listen to yourself to be able to describe.
